Urology

With its 36 beds at Berlin-Buch’s Helios hospital, the IBBZ Urology department cares for more than 2200 inpatients each year. The spectrum covers all urological diagnostics and treatments including ESWL, laser therapy, endourological, minimally invasive reconstructive procedures as well as urogenital tract tumor surgeries.

As a member of respected national and international professional associations and advanced training committees, the IBBZ Urology team incorporates the latest scientific findings into its work and focuses on concerted results for both inpatients as well as outpatients. Patients suffering from overactive bladders who have exhausted all other forms of therapy constitute most of our interdisciplinary work with augmentations. Gender reassignment surgeries as well as male erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence are treated in this interdisciplinary department. Consistent diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines and approaches are at the heart of all successful interdisciplinary work.
